The big day, Feb. 7, is coming soon. That's the first day players can sign national letters of intent. Until then, the commitments are only oral, which aren't binding.
Chris Ford, North Crowley, is taking his receiving and kick returning skills to the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Ford caught 37 passes 762 yards and seven touchdowns .
Brad Haynes, Mansfield Summit, picked SMU. The 6-foot-2 wide receiver is joining a list of 17 other players who've picked the Mustangs.
Mychal Sisson, Duncanville, chose Colorado State. This outside linebacker/safety was No. 68 on SportsDay's Area Top 100.
Clifton Odom, Jr., Arlington Martin, will be joining Baylor. The defensive backs garnered offers from Wyoming, Buffalo, Kansas, Iowa and TCU.
Carlos Cuevas, Plano, is traveling to Utah State. The 6-foot-3, 310 lb offensive lineman was No. 93 on the Area Top 100 list.
