Coppell City Council Meeting
- Tue
- Jan
- 23rd
- 7PM
- Coppell City Hall
- 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell
- Free
- Age limit: All ages
This Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm, the Coppell City Council will hold a public hearing for the purpose of considering whether or not to allow Ole's Tex-Mex Restaurant to serve mixed drinks.
The restaurant, which has submitted an application for Mixed Beverage Restaurant Permit, is located at 600 E. Sandy Lake Road, Suite 106.
The catch? This location is a mere 300 feet from a Sunshine House Daycare located at 137 South Moore Road.
If for any reason you cannot attend the meeting, or if you also wish to voice your opinion through an alternate avenue, the City of Coppell urges you draft a letter.
All letters should be addressed to:
Coppell City Secretary Department, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, TX 75019.
UPDATE: The Coppell City Council has approved the measure allowing the restaurant in question to serve mixed drinks. Also, a Coppell Gazette article from two weeks prior lists other, separate instances wherein the Council approved variances to other businesses in the same area.

Chad Jones, says:
Matthew Steer, Coppell City Planner, was kind enough to not only identify the name of the daycare, but to send over a map of the area in question.

As you can see, the restaurant is also emanating an odd red glow, and the surrounding streets are soaked in urine.

Erin Rice, says:
In my experience at daycare, both as a child and a later as a volunteer, all the kids smelled like they were soaked in urine, so this doesn't surprise me a bit.

Duhh. Just don't allow drinks until after school is out. Problem solved.
