Carrollton high school student hit by van
CARROLLTON A 17-year-old Newman Smith High School student who was running to catch a DART bus was hit by a van on Friday. He was taken to Parkland memorial Hospital, where he's listed in critical condition, says the DMN.
The teen ran across the road and was struck by a white Mercury Villager, whose female driver didn't see him until too late; no charges were expected to be filed against her.
