Town of Argyle to increase beautification efforts
Town hopes to become one of the 330 "Keep Texas Beautiful" affiliates.
In an effort to become one of the 330 'Keep Texas Beautiful' affiliates, the town of Argyle has started a Keep Argyle Beautiful program.
On January 9, the Town Council earmarked $75 for the program's annual membership dues, because keeping things clean ain't free, you know.
All the city has left to do is review a training manual, set up an affiliate organizational structure, prepare a mission statement and bylaws, get facts out to the community to stir up involvement, establish a budget and develop lists of community and volunteer organizations.
Once Argyle completes the requirements, it will join the more than 330 Texas communities that comprise the Keep Texas Beautiful affiliates. Keep Texas Beautiful is a state affiliate of the Keep America Beautiful program.
