New Interview: Puriform

Listening to this interview is like listening to your little, 20ish year-old brother and his friends after you've locked them all in a room. Add some musical influence and this is what you get. That being said, go see Puriform live. You won't regret it.

No seriously, I'm not kidding, the camera is up here. Look up, come on, look up! Dude, look... ugh, nevermind. *click*

Anyone who says that there is nothing good coming out of Denton has not been paying attention lately. While bands both from and not from this area surrounding the University of North Texas have mixed feelings on the location as a music scene, it has certainly spurred some great, young talent. In my opinion, Puriform is one of these young talents. Having seen them play only once, I'm not exactly an expert, but I was entertained and taken aback by the presence of this opening act.

Puriform has only been around for a short while, but the band is building a nice little base of loyal, local fans. While these guys have their eyes on the prize (becoming a national touring band), they don't let that get in the way of what brought them together: friendship. Awwww! But if you think this leads to friendly, pop-y lyrics and musical styles, you are wrong. My suggestion is to check out a show and see for yourself the passion they put into a live performance. If nothing else, it's a darn good time.

Some of the things we talked about in this interview:
