10th Annual 2007 International Martial Arts Championship & Masters Exhibition to be held in Plano, TX

Plano, TX - 7/02/07 - All styles of Taiji and Kungfu from around the world will come to Plano for two days of intense competition on Saturday July 21 and Sunday July 22 at the Plano Centre. This event is hosted by the USA Chin Woo Federation and sanctioned by the USA Traditional Kungfu Wushu Federation.

Starting on Saturday morning, July 21, at 9:30am, nationally and internationally distinguished Masters and Grandmasters from all over the US and overseas will perform their specialties on stage in the Masters Exhibition. The Masters Exhibition also includes acrobatic lion dancing and a 72-ft illuminated dragon dance.

At 1:00pm, the Opening Ceremonies will start off the International Martial Arts Championships. This will be the first time in America to have a performance of 20 lions dancing to the beat of a Chinese drum. There will also be a display of the major styles of Tai Chi. Following the Opening Ceremonies, competition will begin and go through Sunday afternoon. It will include Kungfu, Tai Chi, Musical Group Team events, Sparring, and much more! An exciting Chinese Kickboxing Fight will also be hosted starting at 10am on Sunday.

Last year’s competition was a huge success, drawing in nearly 800 competitors and 3000 spectators to this event. This year, there are 900 to 1000 competitors anticipated to participate!
