Collin College hosts statewide faculty tech training seminar
IT pedagogy: good or bad? Discuss among yourselves.
The Collin College Preston Ridge campus is slated to host faculty from across the state for week-long (Mon.-Fri., July 16-20) IT training and development sessions.
Participation is open to all college and high school instructors who are willing to pony up the $325 registration fee. Materials, lunch and snacks (Yay, snacks!) are also included.
Session topics will include:
· Convergence technology
· Ethical hacking
· Fundamentals and wireless
· Gaming programming
· Intermediate voice over IP
· Using social networking tools in the classroom
IT managers from leading Texas-based corporations will be present to offer some real-world perspective. Attending faculty will have the opportunity to share their own IT teaching techniques, and additional presentations will be made on IT pedagogy and emerging technologies.
For further information, check out the Convergence Technology Center's website or call 972-377-1582.
