Arlington Master Chorale holding auditions for 2007-08 season
The Arlington Master Chorale is a self-supporting, non-profit, volunteer chorus, considered one of the finest and most versatile in the DFW area. Composed of community singers whose full-time occupations are as varied as the chorus' repertoire, members are accepted by audition requiring demonstration of their vocal range and quality, as well as their ability to sight-sing challenging notes and rhythms.
Since its inception in 1973, the Master Chorale has steadily grown in professionalism, in overall quality, and in critical acclaim within the Metroplex arts community. AMC's 2006 - 2007 season included the world premiere of Z. Randall Stroope's Cantus Natalis, Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the stellar Carnegie Hall debut. The upcoming 2007 - 2008 season will feature Johannes Brahms' German Requiem with full orchestra.
Auditions for the 2007 - 2008 Season of the Arlington Master Chorale are scheduled for 5-9 pm on Monday, August 6, & from 5-7 pm on Monday, August 13 at the choir room of First Baptist Church of Arlington, 301 Center Street. Call AMC Director, Randy Jordan @ 817-861-2552 or e-mail at muzakmn@sbcglobal.net to schedule an audition appointment.
