Really, what wouldn't you pay for your own Cheeky Dog? There's a good boy. Little fellow is EASILY worth $1500.

Really, what wouldn't you pay for your own Cheeky Dog? There's a good boy. Little fellow is EASILY worth $1500.

Awed by the profit potential of Webkinz, Dallas-based Beckett Media, publisher of monthly sports and entertainment collectibles magazines, is publishing a new magazine called Plushie Pals that'll cover plushie collectibles including Webkinz, Pokemon, and Beanie Babies.

"We’ve had our eyes on Webkinz for about 18 months and since the 2007 releases, we’ve seen dramatic increases in value on the secondary market," said Doug Kale, Beckett media plushie collectibles expert. "Seeing a Webkinz like Cheeky Dog sell for over $1500 was incredible. The Webkinz craze has all the same feeling and buzz of Beanie Babies or Pokemon. This is the perfect time to launch Plushie Pals since the values of Webkinz and Shining Stars as well as Beanie Babies are seeing tremendous action on the secondary market."

Plushie Pals will comes out bi-monthly for $5.99. The demographics for plushie collecting shows a dominance among girls, age 6 to 14. Beckett estimates the group has a combined annual purchasing power of $40 billion.
