Jewelry wholesaler DGSE sells corporate HQ site on Forest Lane to TXDoT
Does this mean there's freeway construction going in at Forest and Josey?
DALLAS This story about DGSE Companies (which stands for Dallas Gold & Silver Exchange, and which sells watches, jewelry, diamonds, etc.) moving its headquarters would be only mildly interesting, if not for the fact that it's selling its current corporate offices to the Texas Department of Transportation (for $1,299,990, if you must know). DGSE will buy another piece of property for its new HQ, TXDoT is allowing the company to stay in its current facility until January 2008, and blah blah blah. But why do you suppose TXDoT wants this particular property? It's on Forest, at the SW corner of Josey Lane.

I heard from another property owner very close to DGSE that TxDOT wants their property also. I was told that about 18 months ago.
