Man arrested after police find 1,100 marijuana plants in his Richardson residence
When police arrested Brett Lachance, his neighbors weren't surprised. They called the police after seeing a suspicious person acting suspiciously around Lachance's house. When police came to investigate, they found 1,100 marijuana plants and growing equipment. According to the neighbors, Lachance never moved furniture in, came and went at odd hours, and his upstairs window always glowed at night. You would think that someone who went to all the trouble of buying a house for the sole purpose of growing weed would invest in some better curtains. But, to give Luchance the benefit of the doubt, maybe he wasn't growing the plants to sell, he could have just wanted to share it with his friends.

MaxEdison says:
I don't know why the neighbors were so concerned. Marijuana is a relatively harmless social drug used daily by millions of Americans. There is no reason to arrest this guy or any body else who is only interested in amusing themselves. A stupid, stupid waste of taxpayer dollars.

Pavel Lishin says:
It becomes a lot less harmless when random drug-using douchebags start hanging around your neighbor's apartment.
And I have a feeling he wasn't growing that much pot just to amuse himself.
Unless you're telling me that EVERY person who uses marijuana is absolutely harmless, kudos. In any case, come on, if you're going to have a pot farm, be smarter about it.
