American Airlines trims number of flights out of Love Field

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (2)

— American Airlines is discontinuing flights from Love Field to San Antonio and St. Louis starting Sept. 5. A spokesman said they weren't performing but wouldn't give actual hard numbers. American Eagle came to Love Field last year because it Southwest got the rights to fly from Love Field to St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo., and because American seems unable to ever allow Southwest to get one cool thing without trying to rain on its parade. American came in, tried to compete, and now they're bailing.

Well, at least they got to strafe the neighborhoods with their old, loud, smoke-belching MD-80's for awhile.

AA's management reminds me of a an angry 8th grade bully with a lot of cash but an absence of common sense.
