Allen’s Anderson Elementary to receive new principal

Leslie Norris has been named principal of Anderson Elementary School for the 2007-2008 school year. Norris will replace Karin Holacka, who recently accepted an administrative post at Keller ISD.

Before arriving at Anderson Elementary, Norris served as assistant principal of Stephens Elementary in Garland for six years. She has worked in Garland ISD much of her career beginning as a physical education teacher at Rowlett Elementary in 1993. She taught fifth grade for three years at Cooper Elementary before assuming the assistant principal position at Stephens.

She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
