California-based Sweet Tomatoes restaurant chain to debut in Addison
ADDISON Sweet Tomatoes, a California-based restaurant specializing in made-from-scratch soups, salads and bakery goods, has leased 7,468 square-feet of retail space in Addison's Prestonwood Town Center West. The restaurant will accommodate 250 guests and is scheduled for completion in late September.
Sweet Tomatoes, which is celebrating its 30-year anniversary in 2008, features salads showcased on a 55-foot salad bar that are prepared exhibition style every 20 minutes.
Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp, parent company of Sweet Tomatoes, plans to open five Sweet Tomatoes locations in north Texas over the next two years. The Addison location is the company's first in north Texas.
Sweet Tomatoes was founded in 1978 in San Diego, California and currently operates 100 salad buffet-style restaurants across the western, southern, mid-western and eastern portions of the United States under the Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes brand, including four locations in the Houston area.
