UPDATEDx2: Cat-loving Pet-hoarder leads cops on high-speed chase from Dallas to McKinney
DALLAS Officers finally caught a driver, who identified himself to CBS 11 as Ron Teague of Dallas, who led them on a high-speed 95-mph hour-long chase up US 75 through several cities, including Dallas, Richardson, Plano, Allen, and McKinney. Just like OJ, he was driving an SUV as he wound through highways, residential streets, U-turns, and so on. His excuse for not stopping is that he was trying to get his dying cat to the vet. CBS 11 says Teague turned up in a police report two weeks ago, when a neighbor said he threatened to kill her because of something to do with his pets.
UPDATE: Channel 21 reports that Teague is actually one of those "disturbed" people who "collects" animals, possibly up to 40 at his house, and has been banned by most shelters from adopting any more. The cat in his car was found dead.
UPDATE: The police and animal rescue people got a court order to enter the house -- did you know that they can't just go in and take animals without a court order, even if it's obvious that something awful is going down? -- and found more than 60 animals inside, including at least two dead cats in his freezer, as well as an infestation of feces.

Pavel Lishin, says:
I'm sure concerned pet owners drive from Dallas to McKinney when their pet is about to croak.
My theory is that somewhere in McKinney is a chinese place with GREAT deals.
