eWomenNetwork Foundation presents gift to Deaf Hope

— Deaf Hope was presented with a brand new Chevy Express Van along with a year’s worth of insurance from Ameriprise Auto & Home, gasoline, four years of cost-free maintenance, and the resources to purchase much needed office and program supplies courtesy of eWomenNetwork.

“Deaf Hope is doing extraordinary work for a population that is unseen and underserved. Our network of businesswomen from across North America is committed to giving back, or as we say ‘Lift as we Climb’ and it is their generosity along with other caring organizations that is making this possible. The eWomenNetwork Foundation dedicates its resources to small, local non-profits who, without help, could have to close their doors, and we are honored to play a small part in the future success of Deaf Hope and the new lives they make possible for many women who would otherwise be without hope.” says Sandra Yancey, Founder & CEO, eWomenNetwork.

“I am overwhelmed by the generosity and outpouring of support shown by these remarkable women as a result of receiving this award. It's amazing that women who are not even from our community are contacting me from across North America to offer their support for our Mission," says Julie Rems-Smario, Executive Director of Deaf Hope, who was recently presented with the 2007 Humanitarian of the Year Award. The award was presented by eWomenNetwork Foundation in Dallas Texas in front of over 2,000 business women during the eWomenNetwork Foundation’s annual International Femtor Awards Gala.

Deaf Hope was founded in 2003 by eight women. Deaf Hope's mission is to end domestic violence and sexual assault against Deaf women and children through empowerment, education and services. Deaf Hope Board of Directors is planning to launch a new dream - a capital campaign for a center for abused Deaf women and their children. The vision for this center includes a shelter and transitional homes.

eWomenNetwork is recognized as the #1 resource for connecting and promoting women and their businesses worldwide. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, eWomenNetwork, Inc. is the fastest growing membership-based professional women's networking organization in North America.
