The very first All Latina Film Festival for Texas, called Señorita Cinema, is going to be held on October 12 and 13 in Houston. They are currently seeking films and videos by Latina Filmmakers and Video Artists for an exclusive exhibition at Houston’s Lawndale Art Center.
Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be given out. Any genre 15 minutes or less will be considered, including trailers for larger works and even music videos. Multiple entries are accepted as long as the total running time does not exceed 15 minutes and are on one tape or disk.
They will accept films on VHS, DVD, mini DV, or Digital 8. To enter, fill out an application along with $15 any time between July 30th and September 21st. If you are going to submit late, it will be $25 and they only will accept those between September 22nd and October 2nd (the final deadline to be postmarked). ¡Pues, andale!
