Dallas South to celebrate one year anniversary
It's time to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of DALLAS SOUTH BLOG!!! I have been so blessed over the last year to have this vehicle to voice my thoughts and concerns regarding the African-American community. It has been even more of a blessing to attain a wonderful readership of concerned citizens throughout the country.
On Thursday June 7, I'd like to invite each of you to celebrate this wonderful occasion with me at Brooklyn Jazz Cafe, located on the south side of Downtown Dallas at 1701 South Lamar. The anniversary celebration is being held in conjunction with the Real Men Cook of Dallas meet and greet and will begin at 6 p.m.
Over the next week I will be referring back to some of the highlights from the past year at Dallas South; including my favorite posts, comments, topics and the like. There's no way that I could have imagined a year ago (when my mom was my only reader) that so may folks would make Dallas South part of their daily or weekly routine.
Please try to stop by Brooklyn on Thursday, I hope to meet all of you there.

Just think...a year and I we both go our sites going. There's room for the two of us and a lot more. Keep up the great work!

When I started out a year ago and ran across Dallas Progess, I thought we might be doing the same thing.
What's been great is that Dallas South and Dallas Progress have been able to coexist, cross-promote, and make a true difference. That's what advocacy is all about.
Mike, you're the best friend I've never met.

Congratulations to both of y'all (Mike & Shawn). And I really appreciate the support you've shown us. We couldn't do this without the collaboration and participation from y'all and our other regular contributors.
