Carrollton Police Department to offer Rape Aggression Defense classes

The Carrollton Police Department will offer a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class for women on Saturday and Sunday, July 21 and 22, 2007, and Saturday and Sunday, August 18 and 19, 2007, at the Carrollton Police Department from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Attendance at both days’ sessions is required.

The R.A.D. class is open to women who are at least 18 years old. Cost for the class is $5.00.

The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance. Instruction progresses on to the basics of hands-on defense training. For more information on the R.A.D. system, visit www.rad-systems.com.
