Jamee Green named Executive Director for the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association
Ms. Green is a member of the Texas Society of Association Executives and the Dallas Breakfast Group. Yum.
The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) recently appointed Jamee Green as Executive Director of the Dallas Chapter.
Ms. Green ecstatic about her selection, mainly because she can now get all the free food she wants. Isn't that part of the gig?
Ms. Green joined Greater Dallas Restaurant Association (GDRA) as the new Executive Director on June 8. She most recently served as the Director of Public Affairs and Programs for The Real Estate Council, a non-profit organization of 1,500+ commercial real estate professionals in North Texas. Prior to that, Ms. Green worked as the Director of Education, Communications and Government Affairs for the Collin County Association of REALTORS, a chapter of the Texas Association of REALTORS.
“The restaurant industry is a powerful voice in North Texas and I look forward to working with GDRA to advocate for the industry and to maintain an organization that not only supports its members and their issues, but also gives back to the community,” stated Ms. Green.
GDRA has a membership of over 900 professionals from the restaurant industry and has given out thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to students in North Texas to assist in furthering their education in the hospitality field. The association also partners with area schools to offer FSPrep, a program aimed at educating high school students on the restaurant industry and the tasks that are involved in operating a restaurant.
Ms. Green holds a masters degree in sport marketing from Florida State University. She is a member of the American Society for Association Executives, the Texas Society of Association Executives and the Dallas Breakfast Group.
