Closures on the Tollway and US 75 promise utter havoc this weekend
Warning, warning, stay off the roads this weekend. In fact, just to be safe, do not leave your home.
A closure this weekend promises to wreak havoc on traffic flow on southbound 75 in Plano, when all southbound main lanes of US75, from south of Spring Creek Parkway to north of 15th Street in Plano, will close on Saturday June 16 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Sunday June 17.
Next weekend will see closures on the Tollway:
- The south end of the Dallas North Tollway will close on Friday June 22 at 11:59 p.m. and will stay closed until 5 a.m. Monday.
- Northbound lanes from Interstate 35E to Mockingbird Lane and southbound lanes from Northwest Highway to the southern end of the tollway will be closed for repairs.
- The Cedar Springs Road bridge will also be closed.
The Tollway closures are to improve pavement and drainage. The closures on US 75 are part of a "bottleneck and ramp reversal project" from the President George Bush Turnpike (SH 190) to Spring Creek Parkway.
