Retired Highland Park lawyer arrested for drugs, maybe was dealing them, too
Cops seem to think that this 75-year-old ex-lawyer is dealing drugs.
DALLAS Highland Park police told WFAA that they arrested Jason Sowell, Jr., 75, for drug possession, and they suspect he was dealing drugs, too.
They say they were trying to help Sowell who was lying in bed in his fashionably-addressed Beverly Drive home, "looking sickly."
Once they got in -- to "help" him, of course -- they spotted marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, clips, and scales. So they went and got themselves a warrant. They also found guns and sexually explicit material, but luckily for Sowell, that stuff's not illegal.
If this 75-year-old guy was dealing, you have to wonder who his customers were. Neighbors said he was a recluse, and one clucks about the danger of having such a thing in a neighborhood where children run freely. The children could just run right into his house and unwittingly stick one of his roach clips on their nose and it would block air from getting into their lungs and then where would you be?

I'm not sure I understand the point of this post. Is it an exceptionally slow news day?
I'm not even sure I understand who the target of all the snarkiness is- the Highland Park Police? Or Jason Sowell Jr?

It's SMU's fault. They should have more on-campus housing.
