La Hacienda Ranch parking lot in Colleyville great place to get your car broken into
COLLEYVILLE A woman who parked her white VW Beetle in the parking lot of La Hacienda Ranch in Colleyville got her car broken into last week -- the latest in a series of break-ins in the very same lot.
The 19-year-old victim reported stolen a black Guess purse left inside the car with a brown Louis Vuitton wallet containing all her IDs, including her social security card, Texas Tech student ID, Bank of America credit card, and Fort Worth Credit Union debit card.
The woman, who lives in the nearby Fox Meadows subdivision in Colleyville, told police she parked her car in the lot at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning; when she returned at 1:00 p.m., the right rear window had been shattered.
The lot is located behind the restaurant and has no visibility. But it probably bears mentioning that a person can cut down on break-ins by not leaving their purse in the car with their wallet inside, untended for more than two hours. Just a thought.

Agreed. Especially when that wallet contains the rare and coveted Band of America credit card!

My wallet was stolen last month in the bar at Uncle Julio's in Grapevine. Someone reached in my purse and pulled it out while I was standing at the very crowded bar. Within an hour, the crooks had charged more than $4,000 at Lowe's and Best Buy. I'm thinking they loaded up on lumber and a flat screen TV!

I wonder where she went for two hours that she wouldn't have potentially needed her purse or wallet.
