Mesquite Police Department to hold community meetings for “cheese heroin”
MISD's email regarding these meetings includes a photo of heroin needles (left). But the main buzz around the drug in question (right), known as "cheese" on the streets, is the fact that it's a snortable, transportable mix of heroin and Tylenol. A key difference, people, if we're going to tackle this issue.
Before the end of the 2007 school year, the Mesquite Police Department will meet throughout high schools in Mesquite to discuss the growing trend of "cheese" heroin.
According to police, there has been a significant increase in the delicious, I mean dangerous drug throughout the area.
Therefore, crime prevention officers from the Mesquite Police Department will undrtake presentations at three high school auditoriums from 7pm-9pm on the dates listed below.
Maximum seating capacity for the auditoriums is 1000.
- Poteet High—Tuesday, June 19
- Mesquite High—Tuesday, July 17
- Horn High—Thursday, Aug. 16
