Ben Zephyr and Sally Beauty Supply in cahoots

5

This is as interesting of a pairing as I have ever seen. Ben Zephyr is teaming up with Beyond the Zone, which I can only assume is a hair product, since the website describing it is currently "coming soon." Here's a little tidbit from the press release:

Sally Beauty Supply is offering "Buy any 2 Full-size Beyond the Zone products get the Ben Zephyr Red Means Go Music CD for FREE" exclusively at all Sally Beauty Supply stores during the month of July. Check www.sallybeauty.com for locations. The Red Means Go CD will also be available for individual purchase in Sally Beauty Supply stores nationwide for $12.99. Ben Zephyr will be participating in multiple events to support this promotion.

Since I cannot seem to find more information on "Beyond the Zone" products (truth be told I didn't try all that hard), I am going to try to ascertain what they could be based on the members of Ben Zephyr themselves. Please refer to the picture below:

5) Instant Cowboy™: this product, once applied to the scalp will turn one's otherwise luscious hair into straw that can then be fashioned to look like a cowboy hat. In order to make it less cowboy-esque, you can taper the sides a bit;

4) Shagg-y Piece-y™: this is a pretty basic product; all it does is make your hair easily separated just using your fingers and ensures that your shaggy, kinda indie, hairdo always leaves a gap just big enough for your eyes to see through;

3) Cousin It™: for those whose hair does not grow quite as fast as they would like, the "Cousin It" product makes certain that you never have to show your face in band pictures again. You are instantly mysterious following every use;

2) Tough Gel™: another basic and popular product, this gel will take the place of all the rest of your hair products meant to keep your hair strong and upright. It is the go-to product for being the non-shaggy, non-hat wearing member of your band;

1) Turtle Wax™: hey, I can see my reflection in your head.

Hehe nice take on the press release. I can always count on you guys to add a humorous touch. You might want to take a shot using our current promo pic (you know, the one on our Pegasus News profile, myspace page, website, etc, etc).

You're correct in assuming that Beyond the Zone is a line of hair products. I'm not sure why it would say "coming soon" on their site as they seem to have it stocked in all of their stores.

Hmmm, it appears that the same products are being used in both pictures... with the exception of David, of course. What are you using on those locks now? :)
