Roanoke granny accused of spouting off about hiring a hit man to kill a judge
Barbara Norman Davis, 73, of Roanoke has been accused talking about hiring a hit man to take out Louisiana court officials related to her grandson's 2005 case. According to one district attorney in Caddo, LA, Davis has twice been overhead in the past two years, in the court building itself, saying that she wanted to hire an apparently well-known hit man. Her attorney contends that while she may have been speaking her mind, she never directly threatened the people in question, and that she had no intention to carry out her statements. Davis was arrested and taken to a Shreveport jail but was out on bail as of Thursday.
