Every summer, Starbucks, a very large coffee chain with outlets throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, introduces a new flavor. Not-yet-announced but already being gossiped about is summer 2007 flavor raspberry, available starting June 26. This flavor will manifest itself in a new peach-raspberry yogurt parfait, plus two raspberry coffee drinks: Raspberry Mocha Frappuccino and Iced Raspberry Mocha.
Some people are already theorizing that raspberry is trending up as a flavor, appearing also this summer in smoothies at Maggie Moo's and in a new raspberry milkshake at Steak 'N' Shake.
Previous annual-summer flavors at Starbucks have included the late, great MALT -- the best flavor of all, sob -- as well as the not-particularly-beloved banana of summer 2006 and the mint-mocha of summer 2005.

So this replaces the orange stuff they've been pushing so far this month?

People apparently get really, really excited about these flavors. I ran across two excruciatingly long threads about this very topic earlier this week:

The Steak 'N' Shake at Central and Caruth Haven isn't aware of the raspberry shake, and insist they don't carry them, despite the large display at the drive-thru. How am I supposed to jump on this trend?

Here you are!!
Well I can't say that I much like most reapberry flvored thing. Most of the time they're too artificial. And since SB tends to over flavor most things I doubt ver ymuch that this will be good. I did have a pumpkin scone from them the other day that wasn't too bad though.

They had free shots of raspberry chocolate creme lattes at Preston/Royal this AM. I would feed it to a dog.
MuttMouth... the easiest way for your kind to jump on a trend is to start with someone's leg...
