Kroger reaches tentative agreement with unions in Dallas and Houston
Kroger has reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with the United Food & Commercial Workers Union Locals 408 and 455 in Houston and Local 540 in Dallas. This includes both retail associates in Houston and meat associates in both Dallas and Houston.
The tentative agreement covers over 13,000 Kroger associates at 202 stores in the Dallas and Houston metropolitan areas.
The UFCW will fully recommend this tentative agreement to its members for consideration. Details of the tentative agreement are not being released pending ratification.
"Both the Company and the Union put many hours and meetings into reaching a fair and balanced agreement for our associates," stated Bill Breetz, President of Kroger's Southwest Division, which has operations in Texas and Louisiana.
