— Crafting a community vision for one of the most visible retail areas in the City, with the participation of as many members of the community as possible, is the goal of a multi-day planning exercise coming up June 25-29 in the Four Corners area of Farmers Branch.

The design process kicks off Monday night with the opening meeting at 6 p.m. Followed by afternoon work sessions Tuesday through Thursday from 1 until 5 p.m. and daily summary meetings at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

The Four Corners area refers to the four shopping centers at the intersection of Josey and Valley View Lanes in Farmers Branch. The workshop, or charrette, will take place in the vacant storefront at 12895 Josey, Suite 120, on the southwest corner of the intersection, just to the north of Turner Hardware. The City’s Planning Department, in concert with Torti-Gallas consultants, are inviting all those interested to participate in the weeklong process.

For more information on the project or the upcoming charrette, call 972-919-2534.
