Ed Flynn, president of the Southwest Bluegrass Club, passes along all this terrific list of events coming up near and not so far, and, of course, some quite far:
Bluegrass Mini-Festival will be held this Friday & Saturday at the Chrystal Opry House. See details below:
Going to Bowie this weekend ? Here's their schedule and additional information courtesy of Melba Arnold:
Friday Night:
7:00-7:40 Duffin Family
7:50-8:25 Whitehouse Harmony
8:30-9:10 Village Singers
9:15-9:55 Star Canyon
Saturday:
Morning:
10:00-noon open stage showcasing local talent
Afternoon:
1:00-1:40 Whitehouse Harmony
1:45-2:25 Duffin Family
2:30-3:10 Star Canyon
3:15-3:55 Village Singers
4:00-4:40 Digger Davis and Tombstone
4:45-6:00 Supper Break
Evening:
6:00-6:40 Whitehouse Harmony
6:45-7:25 Duffin Family
7:30-8:10 Village Singers
8:15-8:55 Digger Davis and Tombstone
9:00-9:55 Star Canyon
Bluegrass & Chuck Wagon activities will be at the Amon Carter Pavilion Corner of Nelson St and Pelham St located behind Rodeo Arena. Chuck says the music is under the pavilion so we should be dry in case of rain.
The only prices I see on the flyer are "package deals" including Chuckwagon meal, Fri/Sat night bluegrass admission and admission to the Chuck Wagon/Bluegrass Exhibit area $22.50. This is a "special early bird" price (save $7), but covers a 2-day attendance. If you come for just one day, there may not be any discount, but it isn't expensive, anyway. You can call toll free 866-872-1173 (Chamber of Commerce) for further information. Respectfully, Melba
