Dallas.org has scoop on long and contentious DISD board meeting
DALLAS — Over at Dallas.org, Allen Gwinn liveblogged a marathon DISD board meeting. The high points:
- While travel allowances for board members were doubled, adminstrator travel stipends were abolished
- The clear backpack requirement was overturned
- There was some nonsense about whose name goes on construction plaques for schools
- And a big salary was approved for an out-of-district resident employee who left the Air Force under a cloud of impropriety
