Gallery to display Collin College student photos
Collin College's THE ARTS gallery will host a showing of student photography under the header "Frames of Reference: Photography Scholarship Show." The exhibit will run from Monday, July 9 through Sunday, Aug. 10, at the gallery space in Room A175 at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway. Summer hours at the gallery are Monday-Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
An example of the sort of photo Robert Stroud, the "Birdman of Alcatraz," might have taken as a student. (Not on exhibit at the THE ARTS gallery.)
Students showing their works are Kelli LaSalle (McKinney), Jeffrey Wayne Nicholson (Plano), Andrea Grand (Rowlett), Trish Cox (Dallas), Joe Rushmore (Denton), Jennifer Gattis (Dallas), Chris Phelps (Plano), Cody Mains (Rowlett) and Kanyi Muraguri (Plano).
