Fort Worth, Mansfield, and Arlington school districts will not be affected by Supreme Court decision

0

According to an article in the S-T, the U.S. Supreme Court decided Thursday to rule against a measure advocating school integration. The majority opinion was that focusing on race to draw district boundaries would further unequal treatment. The article pointed out that three DFW ISDs, Fort Worth, Mansfield, and Arlington's school districts would not be affected by the ruling. While Mansfield admits to considering socioeconomic factors in drawing school boundaries, none of the districts in these areas say they use race as a deciding factor.
