Mark Cuban sues Don Nelson for taking Warriors coaching position

5

Mark Cuban has filed a lawsuit against former Mavs coach Don Nelson. Apparently, Cuban believes that by taking the Golden State Warriors coaching job, Nellie violated a non-compete clause in his contract with the Mavericks. Sounds like some good talk radio material, but if it doesn't affect what happens on the court next year, I just don't care.

Cuban is such a juvenile, crybaby putz.

Randy Galloway, at the Startlegram, said it best:

"Nellie's game plan was no secret. It was a simple case of shut down and frustrate Dirk, therefore putting the burden of winning the series on the Mavericks' other players.

The Mavs' problem was that Dirk played awful, and the remainder of the team wasn't capable of overcoming his poor performance.

Did Nelson know his old team, strengths and weaknesses? Does Billy Graham know the Bible? Does a Cajun know gumbo?

In 100 years or more of organized sports in American, has any coach or manager who left a team not used his knowledge of his old club in a competitive matchup?

If Cuban wants to sue someone over the Golden State debacle, why not Dirk?"

That's one of the best characterizations of Mark Cuban I've ever read.

did they ever settle the 6 million dollar contract issue that Cuban owed Nellie? If not, Nellie stuck it to him and got his 6 million by beating the Mavs!

I haven't been able to figure out why he let Steve Nash go? I Think Cuby has caused the Mavs more harm then Nellie. 1.Big Mouth 2.the great Nash debacle 3. switching coaches mid season.

I don't care so much about not watching Nash's back deteriorate over the next season or two as that the pay went to none other than the Damp. Sick.
