Projekt Revolution - Aug. 4 (phone interview with Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and Taking Back Sunday)

The 2007 Projekt Revolution Tour is coming to Dallas on August 4 and the music press mills are starting to hum and churn. On the lineup for this year's festival are Linkin Park (tour creators), My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, HIM, Placebo, Julien K, Mindless Self Indulgence, Saosin, Styles of Beyond, The Bled, and Madina Lake.

Earlier this week the press was treated to a rather odd, national, phone conference interview with Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, Adam Lazzara from Taking Back Sunday, and Gerard Way, Bob Bryar, and Ray Toro of My Chemical Romance. Several questions were asked in the one hour slot allotted to this feasting mob of music journalists. Of the topics brought up, most centered (as they were supposed to) on the tour, such as:

• Why the three headlining bands wanted to be a part of Projekt Revolution
• What thoughts went into putting together this year's lineup
• What to expect from the tour musically and visually
• The tour's involvement with Music For Relief

Heck, even little ol' Pegasus News got to ask a question towards the final 10 or so minutes of the interview. This question, of course, didn't really get answered, but we won't point fingers. With the interview taking place at 10 a.m. PST, it's possible there were hangovers to account for.
