Motorcycle riders to escort wounded soldiers to recovery retreat

Passing along this story from Trophy Club about a motorcycle ride to pay tribute to wounded soldiers. But the route will traverse through several cities. Check the various links below for more information.

A very special project to honor our injured military personal is being escorted down Hi-way 114 this Saturday at 2:45 PM, right in front of the Town Of Trophy Club.

If you are compelled to stand at the entrance of Trophy Club and view this impressive escort of wounded and injured military service man & women, you are more than welcome to make the effort to join us, If you feel compelled to hold a flag this would be an additional honor to those men & women who have been injured in the defense of our town & country.

Trophy Club Police Officer, Sergeant Wess Tyler has coordinated the multi-jurisdiction cooperation from the police departments of Grapevine, Southlake, Trophy Club, Keller, Roanoke, Northlake, Westlake to make this escort safe for everyone on the road.

The Trophy Club Motorcycle Riders Club is very active in the Patriot Guard Riders Of Texas, who escorts injured military service men & women to a special healing retreat at the Lantana Lodge near Pilot Point Texas for the Phoenix Project. Mr. Steven Kohs, a Trophy Club resident, Trophy Club Motorcycle Club Rider and Senior Ride Captain in the Patriot Guard Riders has been in charge of this special project for the Patriot Guard Riders Of Texas since inception in 2006.

The Phoenix Project is a 7 day retreat for returning Combat Veterans and their Spouses.Expenses, including airfare, are covered by the Military, Veteran and Family Assistance Foundation and the US Wounded Soldiers Foundation. There are many activities designed to help these Warriors reconnect with their Spouses and reintegrated into society.
