Reid Elementary celebrates Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Read Across America Day
One-hundred and three years ago tomorrow, Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel was born in Springfield Massachusetts. Accordingly, the students at Martha Reid Elementary School plan to celebrate this day in conjunction with "Read Across America" day on Friday, March 2.
Students and teachers should be on the look out, because 'Dr. Seuss will be on the loose.'
The day of activities will consist of a book donation contest, a second grade performance of Seussical the Musical and parents reading their favorite Dr. Seuss book with the students.
[No word yet on whether Dr. Seuss himself will return from the netherworld to make a ghastly appearance.]
