WATAUGA Fort Worth police arrested 17-year-old Demetris McCoy after finding videotape that showed someone helping his 2- and 5-year-old nephews smoke marijuana, according to the FWST.
The police were reportedly searching McCoy's home on a burglary warrant. He was arrested on suspicion of injury to a child, a third-degree felony. The children were taken from the home and placed in the care of Child Protective Services last week. But a news release indicated that Fort Worth police found the video Feb. 22 on a camera seized in connection with area burglaries they suspected McCoy and Vanswan Polty, 18, of Fort Worth had committed.
"The video contains disturbing images of the young children being badgered into smoking a marijuana cigar, commonly referred to as a 'blunt,'" said the release. A man can be seen placing what appears to be a marijuana cigarette into a baby's mouth, and a child is smoking what appears to be a marijuana cigarette.
UPDATE: Content partner Fox 4 has an interview with McCoy as well as the video of the toddlers smoking.
UPDATE 2: Its now being reported that the teen that was filming the home video during this incident is being held by police for at least the next 10 days while they decide whether to charge him with delinquent conduct/injury to a child.

carlene, says:
After seeing this on the news very briefly, I had to find this story on the web. I could not believe my eyes when seeing this atrocity. The mother said she was sleeping and I refuse to believe that she did not smell the marijauna in her house. If I can smell the aroma of coffee brewing from across the hall at my neighbors apartment, I know she smelled the marijuana. However, I am not for taking children away from their parents. I believe she needs some extensive parenting and the effects of chemical substances on the brain classes. These should be mandated by the courts for her to attend.
