Ask Dallas mayoral candidate Gary Griffith a question

Dallas mayoral candidate Gary Griffith will be stopping by the Pegasus News offices Monday afternoon for a sit down interview. As always, we want to give our readers the opportunity to get questions they may have answered by the candidates. So, if you have something you'd like to ask Griffith, please use the comment box below or email me.

Mr. Griffith. How will you assist small business owners in dealing with the street-crime/homeless element that continues to put a shadow over the downtown area?
Or will you?

Less than a year ago, I opened a business downtown, and have been plagued by car break-ins ever since. No matter how much you spend on beautification, it's a bit difficult to say you're re-vitalizing downtown, if people won't visit the area for fear of damage to their vehicles.

To add insult to injury, my patrons (downtown Dallas patrons) are charged more than twice as much to park their car at night in these poorly lit parking lots, than in broad daylight? Is this an extra charge for sweeping up the broken glass?

"Call the Police" you say! Well, I'm glad you mentioned that. We have customers who've had their cars broken into more than once. My victimized patrons and I have called repeatedly, damage/theft reports have been filled out, and that's it- nothing has ever come from us 'working' with the police.
I imagine they're too busy trying to keep the youngsters around Purgatory from running over each other. I suppose they have bigger fish to fry.
Well, us little guys out here on the fringe, need (and deserve) the same support and attention from 'Law Enforcement', and the mayor's office in general, that the big businesses downtown receive regularly.

Rick I apologize, Gary just left the office before your question was posted, but we will save this question and ask the next mayoral candidate that comes by the office
