Gentlemen Prefer Blondes concert at Fair Park has been canceled

Poor ticket sales force organizers to pull the plug.

The "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” concert performance starring Faith Prince and Denise Lee and the Turtle Creek Chorale at the Music Hall at Fair Park March 15-17 has been canceled. For refunds, please contact point of purchase. Season ticket holders for Turtle Creek Chorale are asked to call (214) 526-3214.

“We are extremely disappointed this concert is being canceled," said Michael Jenkins, president and managing director of Dallas Summer Musicals. "But since both DSM and Turtle Creek Chorale are non-profit organizations who are answerable to our respective boards of directors, we determined that ticket sales just would not warrant our going on with the show in this instance. We hope to be able to find another occasion to work with the talented directors and members of TCC in the future.”

Peter Anderson, board chair of the Turtle Creek Chorale, said, “We are of course disappointed not to be performing in the Music Hall at Fair Park in March. The men were excited and ready for the show. We now turn our talents to the terrific bookend concerts that we have coming up in June and July to mark the retirement of Dr. Timothy Seelig, our artistic director of 20 years.”
