i just wanted to say that i o to northwest high school and i know those girls that got in the fight. they didnt like each other in the first place but then they found out that they each had been involved with the same guy, they had enough and started throwing around nasty sayings untill *lisa said " you wanna go then lets go bi*" and pushed *ashley in the face. thats when they started fighting. there was no teachers around to stop the fight so they kept going untill everyone around started yelling "fight" and teachers came running. the officers involved were there in a heart beat but only one tryed to break the girls apart(the male) the female officer knew how fights went down so she immediately pulled out her weapon and tasered her. she tasered lisa about 3 times because supposivly lisa was trying to get back up. ashley was paceing to cool off and another teacher grabbed her and took her into the school cop shop. the female officer yanked the taser out of lisa after she was hand cuffed. not at any time during the fight was one of the officers struck in the face or hit anywhere. it is absurd to say that one of the girls hit the officer. the girls were to busy fighting each other to take a hand off one another to hit a cop that was there. as for the other teachers they tryed to get the girls apart. then when the female officer tasered lisa all she said was clear, thats it she gave no other warning to any one else aroung her. she could have missed and hit an non-involved student just inches around. yes the girls were in the wrong for fighting but lisa should not have been tasered. and even if they were going to taser her they should have tasered the other girl and had other teachers move the students just in case.

Regardless of your position on the appropriateness of the police using the Taser, I think we can all agree that everyone loves a catfight.

If it is true that the female struck the officer, then I think the officer had every right to taser the child, to prevent any harm to herself. By striking an officer of the law, that shows NO RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY! I am glad that she is ok, but these children have to learn that they must respect authority figures. They are there to help, not hurt. She is lucky that is all that was done. If she were in New York, her family would have been mourning over the police putting 48 bullets in her. GOD FORBID!

There is no reason to tase a child unless you are in some kind of danger. Something more than a bitch slap. Those people are trained in man to man close quarters combat and they know multiple ways to subdue someone.

Ok - I am sick to death of defending police officers, but OMG!!!! Odendin - Do you have a “child” who is that age???? Do you know someone who does??? Have you watched the news lately??? You live in a world where "CHILDREN" kill, murder, rape and pillage! HERE IS A CLUE PEOPLE - WHEN A POLICE OFFICER TELLS YOU WHAT TO DO...JUST F'ING DO IT!!! WHAT is so difficult to understand about that??? Why is that concept is so beyond mainstream comprehension? Or so abhorrent, for that matter??? If there are any indiscretions, you can work out all the improprieties later. Chief Kunkle and Uncle Tom…Oh forgive me, Lt. Vernon Hale, will jack you off just enough to appease your inner righteousness… But who among you would OR could walk in those officers’ shoes for even a day? We actually pay these people for a reason! To do what WE cannot do - Keep the peace. But yet we are so ready to crucify them…cast the first stone.
