It was recently announced that Martin Short will be the headliner for this year's benefit for the Dallas Theater Center. The gala will also honor DTC's first Artistic Director Emeritus, Richard Hamburger. Barbara Page, Chair for DTC, says, "The wildly talented Martin Short reinvents Centerstage at the Dallas Theater Center. We are looking forward to a terrific bash in celebration of two theater legends – our esteemed Artistic Director Richard Hamburger and the ever delightful Mr. Short."
Martin Short is mostly known for his comic skills on Saturday Night Live, ¡Three Amigos!, and Father of the Bride. The Tony and Emmy-award winner most recently co-wrote, produced and starred as star-interviewer Jiminy Glick in Comedy Central's Primetime Glick.
The annual Centerstage Gala raises money to benefit DTC's artistic educational programs. Individual tickets are $1,000 and underwriting levels start at $2,500. For more information, contact the DTC Development Office at centerstage@dallastheatercenter.org or 214-252-3915.
