UPDATED: Masked vandals terrorize Grapevine High display cases and more
Updated 03:15 p.m., March 13, 2007
While the vandals were wearing black ski masks, Nixon remains the mask du jour for those who want to cause mischief around town but get a laugh as well.
At about 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, crazy masked people broke into Grapevine High through the school's auto shop building. They proceeded to pour paint on the floor and spray paint hallways, as well as breaking windows and glass displays throughout the buildings.
UPDATE: Grapevine police have now identified and questioned all seven individuals involved in Wednesday's vandalism, and will be issuing arrest warrants for each of them. All the vandals are Grapevine High students, 17 to 18 years old, mostly seniors. The damage done to the school was in excess of $40,000, meaning they will all be charged with felony offenses.
UPDATE UPDATE: Charles Ray Ward III, 18, turned himself in. He posted a $2K bond and was released, Sgt. R. W. Murphy told Channel 11. His cohorts are expected to follow.
