Paschal JROTC rifle team comes home regional champs
Members of the Paschal JROTC Rifle Team are the newly named champions of the 2007 Army Western Region competition.
The team beat the second place team by more than 80 points and became the first national team to have all four members score in the top-8 national individual score. Of the top eight, Paschal team members ranked first, fourth, sixth and eighth.
The top shooter was Daniel Hilario. Daniel was awarded a gold medal as the top shooter out of 200 of the best shooters in the nation. He also broke two individual Army national shooting records: highest national personal 3-position shooting score and highest national personal score in standing position.
In April, the Paschal JROTC Rifle team will head to Fort Benning, Georgia to compete in the JROTC National Championship tournament.
