DALLAS The Dallas Business Journal reported today that the Texas Stampede, which holds a weekend-long rodeo event in November for the Children's Medical Center of Dallas, is one of the least efficient charities in the country.

The charity's programs for kids have been noticeably inexpensive.
Spending almost three-quarters of its revenues on fund-raising and administrative costs, the Texas Stampede leaves precious little for spending on actual programs. According to the watchdog site Charity Navigator, this makes the Stampede one of the least efficient charities and garners a ranking of zero stars.
According to the charity's website, since its inception in 2001, the organization has raised more than $2.5 million for pediatric programs associated with Children's Medical Center. For a complete breakdown of the charity's spending habits, you can read the report here.
