Savor Dallas co-founder Jim White talks about Savor Dallas
DALLAS Not sure if you've heard, but there's a mega food-and-wine event coming up this weekend called Savor Dallas.
This is the one they're calling "a feast for the senses," an "opportunity to drink in the arts, celebrate the finest aspects of Dallas culture, and enjoy the fine art of premium wines, spirits and cutting edge cuisine."
Now in its third year, the two-day event will go down on Friday and Saturday at Victory Park and the Dallas Arts District. Participants can sample more than 500 wines, spirits, and beer, as well as snackage from top chefs.
Interview with Jim White
With the event only two days away, co-founder Jim White was running ragged following up on last-minute details. But he squeezed in time to sit down and share tidbits such as:
- What other food-and-wine festival served as an inspiration for Savor Dallas
- What it's like for a husband-and-wife to work on a project together
- How they arrived at Victory Park as a Savor Dallas site
- The person he considers to be a linchpin of the event (hint: begins with a V, as in Vicki, as in Vicki Briley-White)
