Four vying for spot on Allen ISD Board of Trustees

Four citizens will compete for three seats on the Allen ISD Board of Trustees this spring.

Scott Jergensen and Lois Lindsey are competing for Place 4 on the Board. Place 4 will be open when Susie McCloud retires from the Board this May after six years of service. Jergensen is a sales manager for Progressive Insurance. Lindsey is a retired Allen ISD elementary school teacher.

Gary Stocker is running unopposed for Place 5. Stocker was elected to the Board in 2004. He works as an IT project manager and consultant.

Mark Jones is running unopposed for Place 7 on the Board. He was appointed to the Board in October, 2006. Jones is an administrative director for Presbyterian Hospital of Allen.

The election will be held on Saturday, May 12 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Early voting will begin on April 30 and end on May 8. Poll hours will be 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with the exception of Sundays and holidays. Extended early voting hours will be available on May 3 from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. and again on May 7 and 8 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Early voting will be held at the Allen Municipal Court building adjacent to City Hall (former public library).
