Plans for fancy $96 million Trophy Club high school to be revealed
On March 20, the plans for this Trophy Club's new high school, slated to cost $96 million, will be revealed at a public meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Medlin Middle School. Some of the features of this fancy schmancy new school will include:
- Indoor football practice facility
- Three-story "academic wing" at the rear of campus (when did high schools come with academic wings, isn't the whole school supposed to be academic in some way?)
- Courtyard featuring large outdoor area for students to gather, with or without hall passes
- Two-story library with mezzanine
- Java City coffee shop
At the moment students are testing out potential chairs that will be used in the classrooms, as sitting on a hard, flat, fiber glass slab is no longer the surface of choice for our future's rear ends.
I jest, but it all sound pretty cool. Trustees will consider approving the plans, as well as potential names for the school, on March 22.
