The Foundation for Allen Schools and the Allen & Lovejoy Council of PTAs will host the 6th annual “BEE for Education” on April 3 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Ereckson Middle School Cafeteria (450 Tatum Drive). The BEE is a community spelling bee supporting student and teacher scholarships in Allen ISD.
Three-person adult teams sponsored by individuals and local businesses will compete for the BEE Trophy. The twenty teams in this year’s competition will also vie for the Best Dressed Team, Best Decorated Table and Best Cheering Section awards.
Last year’s event raised over $16,000 for student and teacher scholarships in Allen ISD. The team from Allen High School was crowned the winner after 16 rounds.
Individual tickets are available for $10 and include a hot pasta dinner. Table sponsorships are available for $100 and include dinner and reserved priority seating for eight.
For more information or to reserve your tickets, call the BEE Information Hotline at 972-727-0362 or email regina_taylor@allenisd.org.
