TIAA-CREF, which provides retirement savings products and services in the academic, medical, and cultural fields, announced that it'll expand to Lewisville, bringing 350 new local jobs to the area over the next two years.
The hard-to-pronounce TIAA-CREF has had a regional office in Dallas since 1985; Lewisville will serve as a third location providing individual client support, behind Charlotte and Denver, that manage calls and emails, and provide customer service, advice, and counseling.
TIAA-CREF has signed a long term lease on the site located at Lakeside Office Center 1, 2850 Lake Vista Drive in Lewisville -- the result of a national search. Lewisville was chosen because so many residents are licensed to work in financial services.
"We chose the Dallas-area primarily for the large labor pool of financial services professionals," said Fran Nolan, Executive Vice President of Individual Client Services for TIAA-CREF. "We plan to hire consultants in April to begin taking calls at our Lewisville location by early July."
